Imani Musembi
Radical Play Research Assistant
Imani Musembi (she/her) is a highly motivated senior majoring in Computational Neuroscience (B.S.) and specializing in Applied Analytics and Web Development.
Her research primarily focuses on the use of video games to address and tackle systemic biases that negatively impact marginalized communities, often excluding them from crucial spaces and conversations. Apart from her own journey, she draws inspiration from her work as Vice President of Operations for the USC Science Outreach Program, Elementary School Programming Director for USC Troy Camp, and Graduate Research Assistant for the USC Rossier Center for Education, Identity and Social Justice. She intends to expand her understanding of how research and data analysis can be utilized in favor of a more equitable society where quality education is a fundamental right rather than a selective privilege.
