Matthew Copilton (they/them) is a game designer, educator, and researcher. With Radical Play, they are designing climate justice learning activities featuring play, games, game design, and world-building. Their goal is to support learners in imagining actions they can take to build sustainable futures free from systemic racism and related systems of oppression. They have a PhD in Education Psychology from USC focused on critical digital literacies learning research, and masters degrees in teaching and social ethics. They taught high school for 11 years, and have been involved in anti-racist activism for over 20 years. In their free time, they like to play.
